A Colorful Taxi ride...

A Colorful Taxi Ride. The Driver was listening and singing along to traditional music. You can also hear me failing at Mandarin, and over using XieXie. (((o__o)))

Jungle City
So... Across the narrow road from the very industrial facility there is this Coy Fish pond & traditional looking ramada. The workers take smoke breaks here in the shade. Old women religiously sweep this area with their raw brush brooms.

Every day we are hustling.. Literally. You are looking at the facility where endless fabrication will take place. 3D Design which become Steel Bars, Steel Bars which become Panels, Panels which become Mountains. Mountains that will make up the Shanghai Disneyland project slated for a 2015 opening. I've been learning a lot, and in turn have been training a hand full of Chinese young Men who are pretty eager to learn(some are welders in this photo), and they are teaching me things in return. I like to describe this place as an alien world at times, but really it is very much the same world, the same spirit. All people desire an opportunity to learn, do good work, contribute something, and learn to give back.
Jing'an Temple. Seated Bodhisattva. Even though much of China is changing; many voices of the past remain and echo in many wonderful and beautifully wrought forms.
The City carves it's path yielding to very few elements. This rehabilitated Temple is a relic, a needle in a haystack of modern skyscrapers. Jing'an Temple was a much appreciated change of tone.
A modern precipice. Where have I seen this landscape before? Regardless of the Cement & the Steel the sun sets the same way in every corner of the World.
Tianzaifang Market. I've noticed several instances of someone lost in thought, standing in the middle of the road as if time came to a sudden stop.
